SEC grants self-custody crypto apps 5 years to obtain traditional broker licenses

The SEC has advanced the crypto market structure by issuing a staff statement on Covered User Interfaces. These interfaces, including websites and apps that assist users with self-custodial crypto asset security transactions, will now have five years to acquire traditional broker licenses.
