Kraken rejects extortion attempt tied to client data exposure

The cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has revealed it was targeted by an extortion attempt following two incidents of "inappropriate access" to client data. Approximately 2,000 user accounts were affected by these breaches, according to the head of security.
