An attacker exploited the Hyperbridge, a Polkadot-based bridge, to mint 1 billion bridged DOT tokens, resulting in a profit of $237,000. In response, exchanges Upbit and Bithumb have temporarily suspended DOT deposits and withdrawals due to a suspected security incident.
